Stella Maris is in a prime location on the island of Maio. On top of the cliffs in Vila do Maio (also known as Porto Inglês), Stella Maris is a gated community of villas and apartments. There is a shared salt-water infinity pool and there are two supermarkets just a couple of minutes walk away.
The Stella Maris villa has a great location with sea views and views to the infinity pool. There are three bedrooms (one on the mezzanine level), a comfortable living room, well equipped kitchen and a bathroom. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and the other two bedrooms have twin beds. There is a sofa bed in the living room, so the house can sleep up to 8.
The garden is beautifully laid out with tropical plants. There is a sun terrace with two sun loungers and also a shade terrace with a dining table and chairs. The sea views are lovely and if you are lucky you may see flying fish, whales or dolphins from the garden or from the shared infinity pool.
Maio is a quiet, peaceful island with lovely beaches and friendly people. Often overlooked, it is well worth a visit.
