São Vicente island is probably best known for being an island of culture. It is home to artists, poets and writers, furthermore it hosts various festivals. However, it also has lovely beaches, such as this one at São Pedro. The village is about 15 minutes from the island capital, Mindelo. It is also close to the island’s international airport. São Pedro beach is popular with windsurfers.
