The beaches on beautiful Maio island are lovely and very often deserted. Visitors come to Maio because it offers peace and quiet with great beaches and azure blue waters. This photograph was taken to the west of the pier in Vila do Maio (Porto Inglês). The timbers in the picture are the remains of the old pier. Visit Maio for that peaceful, ‘get away from it all’ holiday.
