An exciting new music hub is being constructed in the bay at Mindelo on the island of São Vicente. This facility includes a multi-purpose performance space, a professional recording studio together with a bar. This addition to the arts in Mindelo will be floating on three ‘boats’ around a central pier and piazza. The intention of this new facility is to promote music, dancing and the arts. These cultural aspects of life are so important to the people of Cape Verde. São Vicente and Mindelo in particular are the cultural hub of the country.
This music hub project is being sponsored by Africa Development Solutions (ADS) in conjunction with Enapor the port authority and other partners.
