This short movie of snorkelling with turtles was filmed at São Pedro on the island of São Vicente. These gentle creatures are a sight to behold. The turtles make their nests in the sand dunes around Cape Verde. The babies are hatched in the sand then they make their way into the sea. Sadly many of them don’t survive. Also, the change in climate is reducing the number of males that are hatched, as the temperature of the sand determines the gender.
