It is also possible to book a flight only with TUI and then make your own arrangements in hotels or self-catering accommodation. Sal Island
Sal is the most popular of the Cape Verde islands for tourists. The main holiday centre is Santa Maria on the south end of the island. The TUI accommodation is located in or close to Santa Maria. The town has a lovely beach, which stretches for some 8km (nearly 5 miles). There are many activities including water sports and sun bathing.
The town centre is good to visit, with many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The main pedestrianised street is popular with visitors, especially at night with bars and restaurants spilling out onto the attractive street.
