Fajã d'Água on Brava, Cape Verde

The tiny village of Fajã d’Água is on the north west coast of the island of Brava, Cape Verde. Brava is a pretty island, sometimes called the garden island as it is considered to be the greenest island in the archipelago. Fajã d’Água is worth a visit when you visit Brava. The small village is only 4km north of the island’s capital Nova Sintra, but it is a windy road. It was originally the main port until 1843, when the present port was built at Furna. It was also home to the airport until that facility was closed in 2004. The bay at Fajã d’Água is considered one of the finest in Cape Verde.
