As the weather in Europe is in the grip of winter, who wouldn’t like a little sun on a nice beach? This is the east end of the lovely beach in Santa Maria on Sal island, Cape Verde. This photograph was taken by Angulo’s bar and surf centre. A lovely area for those staying at the east end of the town, but only about 8 minutes walk from the town centre.
